District Election Office
The Election Department Chandel, in cooperation with many other departments and organizations conducts the election to the Legislative Assembly of the State and the House of the People from time to time under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur and the Election Commission of India.
Apart from this, the department also conducts regular summary revision of electoral rolls in coordination with the EROs, Sub Divisional Officers/AERO, BLOs and various other stakeholders of the district. The Department strives to educate and enroll the eligible members of the public through various outreach programs such as the SVEEP, Electoral Literacy Clubs and others such as the NYK. Round the year facility to enroll and others for the electoral roll are provided by this department for the public.
